The role: UX designer

As a UX designer you will be responsible for the following set of activities on a day to day basis: Initial user research, use business insights in order to drive a visual solution forward, designing desirable and multi-channel experiences, develop wireframes and visual designs and validating your solutions with users.

Main responsibilities

  • Keeping an eye on user experience reports and analytics, specifically when visual improvements are made
  • Conduct concept and usability testing to validate and improve design solutions
  • Be an advocate for user centred design solutions
  • Conduct user research to discover user insights, define user personas and map user journeys
  • Create distinctive, branded digital experiences that are desirable and consistent across multiple platforms devices and channels- web applications and mobile
  • Create compelling designs that align with company and brand standards
  • Collaborate and work as part of an agile team to ensure designs are feasible and implemented accurately
  • Develop new product concepts, storyboards, detailed interaction designs, screen flows and prototypes to clearly articulate solutions

The person

If you possess a real can-do attitude and display a natural flare for design and creativity from a digital perspective, then this role could be perfect for you. You must be passionate about problem solving through design and have the ability to synthesize abstract ideas into tangible solutions. Being open minded and taking ownership whilst proactively visualising for the end user is key to overall development.

To be a successful applicant you must have the following:

  • Hands on experience designing for desktop web and mobile applications
  • Must have worked within an AGILE environment
  • Experience planning and carrying out user research at various stages of the project
  • The ability to communicate effectively around the value of design to senior stakeholders
  • Combined skills in 2 of 3 of the following: User research, interaction design and visual design
  • Familiar working with design systems that consistently scale across platforms
  • Strong visual design skills, able to create compelling, branded, high fidelity product screens
