Transition Project Manager (IT Outsourcing)

Transition Project Manager to work for a FTSE 100 organisation. Our customer is one of the largest IT consulting groups in the UK and due to a major new customer programme they are now seeking a Transition Project Manager to join their team.

Background - our customer has won a huge Managed Network contract to maintain and upgrade LAN/WAN and various other network services across 900 sites. They are currently transitioning the service from another outsourcer before driving transformation.

The nature of the role - you will be responsible for managing and owning and tracking the specific Transition activities, incorporating these tasks and sub tasks and have identified critical path and dependencies.

Activities:

Network Discovery

Data Migration

CMDB asset and Inventory management

Activities and Dependencies between Capita/TfL/Fujitsu - tracking and feeding in to Capita/FJS transition exit

Knowledge transfer plan

Inflight projects integration in to the Transition plan

3rd Party contracts tracking of progress with legal, procurement and suppliers and integration in to the Transition plan

Billing implementation ready for SCD

Communications (Internal and external)

There are specific SME's/workstream leads that will be doing the actual work of the activities stated above but the Transition PM will responsible for the success and completion of these activities.

The ideal candidate will have Project Management experience, coupled with experience of working on IT Transition projects.
