I am currently seeking a Technical Support Manager to join an award winning, rapidly expanding data mining company based in the Cambridge area.
Joining the company as an experienced Technical Support Manager, you will be expected to have a varied skill set; this will include technical IT skills and excellent customer facing skills. You will be expected to lead the customer support operations which cover Europe and the US.
You will take ownership of the technical resources in the business, along with providing resolutions to customer issues and helping customers to get the most out of the software that the company has provided them.
Key skills required:
- Previous managerial experience in a technical role
- Genuine passion to assist users in solving problems
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix
- Knowledge of Virtualisation technology - i.e. VMWare, Hyper-V, VSphere, etc.
- Well versed in scripting languages, ideally Python, but others accepted
- Excellent communication skills
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation whom are the leaders in their field. They are currently expanding and are looking to grow the organisation rapidly within the next few months. The position is paying a salary of between £35,000 - £45,000, dependant on experience.
