Role: IT support consultant

We are looking for an IT support consultant to join an innovative software business within the finance industry, based in Staines upon Thames. The market leading software products available offer excellent automated end to end solutions across compliance and operational risks enabling clients to focus on adding more value to their business.

This position will be imperative to successful customer experience as well as the software project life cycle.

The person: In order to be considered for this position, you must be someone who can demonstrate a strong work ethic and passion for what you do. You will be a part of a team that will offer consistent support, and practice a team playing mentality. You must have excellent communication skills, be eager to learn and be confident in your own ability to not only understand the business and the products available, but also communicate and discuss this with end clients and customers. We are looking for someone with a background in software technology, with a good understanding for software products and the ability to work with different platforms in terms of implementation and general IT support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide first-hand technical support to customers/clients
  • Liaise with other members of the team in order to grasp all aspects of the software and how it is used to support clients and improve business success
  • Keep track and record all incidents/tickets raised in order to deliver concise support
  • Maintain all records and keep all clients/customers up to date
  • Consult daily to ensure the most efficient use of the products
  • Remain customer focussed and deliver the best possible solutions

Experience:

  • Expert understanding of all MS applications
  • Excellent understanding of windows platforms and operation systems and servers
  • Good understanding for cloud-based products and applications (Azure)
  • Experience working with finance software products (desirable)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a technical environment
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience providing application or software support to customers
  • Must have experience in an IT customer support/consulting role
