I am looking for a SQL DBA to join a growing team based in Chippenham. Due to a rise in the volume of work coming in, they are now looking to bring on a DBA. This is an urgent requirement, and hence are looking to bring on a SQL DBA as soon as possible.


When looking at responsibilities as a SQL DBA, you will be required to participate on an on-call scheme along with going onsite to be on some client sites. Along with this, you will give input into the design and process when it comes to SQL builds, install and configure SQL Server and the set up of back up strategies, disaster recovery and monitoring and alerting.


The ideal candidate will have experience of installation, configuration and performance tuning of SQL Server 2000 - 2014. Along with this, you will have a clear understanding of the architecture and be able to identify impacts. You will also be required to have a MS SQL Server Certification.


Desirable skills:

  • SQL "Always On"
  • Exposure to SQL Databases supporting MS Dynamics, Sharepoint, Biztalk
