Capita are looking for an experienced Developer in .Net, to be part of a small development team, contributing to the delivery of our business systems whilst adhering to best practice and standards within the team. This includes leading the development and support of these systems, such as our student, applicant and admissions processes, our alumni students, and business-to-business systems.


This role will use a variety of technologies and software development tools such as .NET, MVC, Restful Services and API development. There may be opportunities working with MS Dynamics CRM, Sitecore and SharePoint. The role will involve working closely with our technology partners and internal business customers.


This role will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills across the full software development lifecycle working alongside Project Managers and Business Analysts. You will be expected to take the technical lead on projects and research into technologies or tools that will benefit the team.

Essential Skills:
Experience of software development preferably in a Business Systems environment
Strong customer relationship skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Proactively interested in software development technologies.

Essential experience would include the following technologies:
Experience of C#, MVC and the .Net framework.
HTML 5, CSS, Java Script, JQuery, or Angular JS.
Continuous Integration
Knowledge of working in a HE environment.
Experience of working with SiteCore or other content management technologies

The main responsibilities for the role will include:

Systems analysis, design, development, testing and implementation;
