Software Asset Management Analyst,SAM,licensing,ELP

You will join this global IT Services business to work in house at their offices in Central London.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of Software Asset Management Licensing experience and be able to prove a track record of delivering licensing positions to external customers for at least one major complex vendor (e.g. Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, SAP, Symantec, VMWare) and have led the reconciliation. This experience should have been from within a SAM orientated organisation, with an outsourcer, or with an independent consultancy or LAR.

The role will be office based at their HQ in Central London with some flexability to work from home.

* Preparing and optimising effective licence positions for a major complex vendor
* Ensuring accurate reporting of vendor compliance
* Developing optimized vendor licence positions
* Working with Data Analysts to correctly identify software products that have been discovered on the hardware estate
* Process Proof of Entitlement to manually match to applications, where automatic reconciliation is not possible
* Reviewing / importing new purchase information from third party systems
* Developing and improving SAM lifecycle processes
* Qualifying and verifying all data sources required for SAM processing
* Analysis of market changes and assessing impact on vendor licensing

* Essential Experience
o Delivery and have taken the lead of effective licence positions/ reconciliations
o A very good working knowledge of complex licensing for at least one major vendor
o Experience of major vendor end-to-end audit processes
o Knowledge of emerging technologies and associated licensing models
o Comfortable liaising with technical architects, data analysts and consultants at a technical level
o Setting up effective licensing positions (ELP's) from the ground up

* Desirable Experience
o Working knowledge of a software management / discovery tool (e.g. SCCM, UD, BMC Discovery)
o Working knowledge of at least one SAM tool, preferably Flexera.

* Qualifications
o ISEB - SAM Essentials - desirable
o ITIL Foundation - desirable
o ISO 19770-1 - desirable
