Service Delivery Manager needed to join Capita application Services based in Reading. This Service Delivery Manager position will be home working with travel between Reading and the client in Manchester.

As Service Delivery Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of a Support Service at Capita Application Services. You will ensure the smooth running of the application support function and ensure the needs/expectations of customers can be fulfilled.

You will ensure that Capita provides the best possible service to the customer for:

  • Service Level Management
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Change Management

You will liaise with internal project and development teams, customers and third party suppliers to build strong relationships as you oversee the delivery of a range of IT services in line with agreed SLAs. Working with customers and delivery teams, you will be instrumental in the development of new services by owning and producing service designs. You will ensure the smooth transition of new or changed services into support, and work with the customer to prioritise defects for release.

Using ITIL Service Operations processes you will ensure the highest levels of service excellence.

We're looking for someone who has:

  • Excellent knowledge of service management practices.
  • Knowledge of service management toolsets and reporting.
  • Good knowledge of methodologies and processes used for supporting IT effectively.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • A strong customer focus.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Previous experience of IT operational service and support roles.
  • Experience of third party service management including Service Level Management in an outsourced arena.
  • Previous experience in a Service Management role.
  • Experience of holding structured Service reviews with evidence of Continual Service Improvement.
