Service Delivery Director


Service Delivery Director required for a long term contract in Greater London with our global client.


The role whilst service focused also will be accountable for all technical resources on the account including service deployment and technical architecture. A sound knowledge of networking technologies is essential, along with an appetite to transform the service offer though utilising global capabilities and emerging technologies (Automation/AI/Self-healing)
You will be required to:

  • Manage the designated customer relationship from a service quality and operations perspective and ensure the client exceeds its service level promise to customers
  • Provide leadership to a local team of 50+ IT professionals
  • Ensure ambitious transformation plans are achieved
  • Fulfil contractual obligations for service management, in line with ITIL processes and practices
  • Act as the customer advocate on operational and service management matters within the organisation
  • Lead the customer interaction on all service-related issues and orchestrate actions to ensure they are addressed speedily and effectively
  • Be commercially minded and work in close collaboration with sales and account management to position the client strongly for business retention, contract renewal and service extension
  • To provide the right product expertise and to proactively manage the service performance in a complex technical context.


Skills and experience

  • Must have proven relationship management and team leadership skills
  • Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Network technologies, preferably in a service provider environment
  • Must have strong communication skills and be able to manage a customer relationship at both operational and senior leadership level.
  • Must have experience of change management and leading a team and customer through a period of transition.
  • Ideally a technical background in the networking or telecoms industry
  • Ideally ITIL qualified
