Senior Business Analyst (Applications and Data)

Senior Business Analyst with experience of working on a range of software application projects within a blended environment of both agile and waterfall to work for a leading IT Services organisation. Due to some major wins on a portfolio of programmes, they are looking to bring on a couple of Senior Business Analysts to join their teams based in London.

This role will require some travel between London and Bedfordshire.

The nature of the role for the Senior Business Analyst support the delivery of a range of applications and business change projects and programmes for clients. The Senior Business Analyst will develop unambiguous, complete and consistent business requirements specifications to support the delivery of the Workstream Outputs and Outcomes including:

- Identify, document and analyse As-Is and To-Be business processes
- Develop business level requirements using methods such as Use Cases, User Stories, Functional and Non-functional Requirements.
- Identify data entities and develop conceptual/logical data models
- Assess the impact of the changes with respect to:
o Data and Information
o Security
o Data Protection
- Contribute to the development of business change plans and benefits profiles
- Contribute to the production of high-level project plans and identify, assess and escalate project risks and issues as appropriate
- Contribute to the production of Safety documentation and plans

The ideal Senior Business Analyst will have experience of working on multiple projects across software applications and business change, within a customer facing environment. The Senior Business Analyst will have experience of working in both agile and waterfall environments. Thorough and up to date understanding of analysis approaches, tools and techniques including (Use Cases, Conceptual Data modelling, BPMN)
- Strong stakeholder management
- Strong analytical thinker
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of EA Sparx and Jira is preferable
