9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

Office based Bradford, some UK travel will be required.

About the role

The Scrum Master / Product Co-ordinator role is key to ensuring the effective delivery of a number of important products from within the portfolio of the Digital Solutions unit within Eclipse Legal Systems.

You will act as Scrum Master for an agile development team, communicating with colleagues and contributing to the successful implementation of new solutions on our Advantage Digital platform.

You will also:

  • Work with the Technical Lead and Product Owner to groom and refine the product backlog
  • Work with the stake holders to co-ordinate product release plans
  • Work with the product owners and stake holders to manage the Product Roadmaps
  • Manage the relationship with other areas of the business regarding release dates and schedules
  • Ensure that new software requirements are well defined and implemented in accordance with our customers' requirements.
  • Ensure that the software is thoroughly tested and any faults identified are recorded and corrected accordingly.
  • Ensure that our customers receive quality software in accordance within the published release dates.
  • Ensure that software releases are adequately supported in the form of clear, comprehensive and explanatory documentation for system users.
  • Assist other areas of the business in respect of product related activities (e.g. customer support, sales support, project management etc.)
  • Provide release training to helpdesk, HB/CT/NR/Housing and pre-sales consultants

Responsibilities

Agile:

  • Produce clear, comprehensive, quality User Stories with suitably defined acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to Story Grooming sessions with the Technical Lead and Product Owner and run Sprint Planning sessions guiding the development team and other testing resources through appropriate Q&A, task breakdown and estimation.
  • Run the daily stand up meetings ensuring your own task updates and those of others are communicated effectively
  • Burn down your own tasks on a daily basis and prior to the next daily stand up meeting; ensure that other team members are doing the same
  • Demonstrate effectively completed stories during show and tell sessions
  • Run retrospective sessions to identify issues or to introduce future working practices.
  • Self-manage your workload effectively throughout sprints ensuring that tasks assigned are progressed as planned or impediments raised speedily for resolution.
  • Build close working relationships with the development team, working problems to reported incidents together to conclusion
  • Provide clear and consistent metrics and reporting to stakeholders and Product Owners

Essential skills and experience

  • Experience of working on Agile development projects
  • Experience of project management methodologies, such as SCRUM, DSDM, Prince 2
  • Experience of software testing in a commercial environment
  • Understanding of user requirements analysis and testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of web applications and how they are used
  • Confident and motivated
  • Well organised and able to work well unsupervised and under own initiative
  • Able to focus on multiple tasks and goals within tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to absorb and learn new skills quickly and effectively
  • Experience of producing comprehensive and clear software documentation
