SAP HCM Cross-Project Manager
6 month contract
£500 p/d

I am currently on the look out for an SAP HCM Cross Project Manager to join a client of mine based in London. This is an initial 6-month contract.

What you'll be doing

  • As cross-Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end processes and integration of SAP HCM across SAP ECC, S4/HANA and Workday, as well as affected downstream systems. This will involve liaising with the Project Managers, Test Managers and Project Teams, engaging with the SFF Programme, Workday project and Operations team, to ensure delivery across all projects and deliverables are on track.
  • Lead interactions with key senior stakeholders across Capita to manage agreed deliverables, identifying and resolving conflicts and issues as required;
  • Oversee planning for key decisions and develop action plans to resolve issues as required, including risk recording and management;
  • Co-ordinate systems and processes and manage prioritisation of team work.
  • Communicate with Programme Management, providing updates on project status, testing status, risks and issues and any mitigation plans.

What you'll bring

You will have experience of successfully leading major technology projects for global organisations, involving complex integration, business process transformation and change management. Experience of managing SAP/ERP programmes is essential. Knowledge of Workday or other cloud SAAS HCM solutions would be advantageous, but not essential.
More generally, you will be able to demonstrate

  • PRINCE2 or otherwise suitably qualified and demonstrable experience in project leadership and use of structured delivery methods;
  • Experience of planning, delivering or supporting business operations and a complex, large scale Portfolio or Programme, including experience of performance management, reporting, assurance, audit, governance and risk management;
  • Strong organisational skills, having a methodical and thorough approach to managing multiple activities concurrently;
  • Proven ability to makes decisions to maintain momentum on projects;
  • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
  • Ability to confidently engage with and managed a complex range of stakeholders, crossing team and organisational boundaries, to build trust and generate commitment to shared goals;
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to change; a high level of initiative and ability to adjust to fit a dynamic and wide-ranging operation;
  • Experience of investigating, identifying and resolving complex issues in challenging, time-pressured situations with sensitivity and professionalism;
  • Ability to monitor and adapt own work and work of others in order to meet set objectives and processes in a fast-moving environment;
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written, keen awareness of audience, able to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences and confidently engage with a varied range of stakeholders, being a trusted advisor.
