Project Manager (Software Dev)

Project Manager required with experience in the delivery of software development / applications experience, to join our client in Barnet London. You will help in the support of technical implementation and associated business change of all ICT/Transformation projects and the delivery of technical solutions.
Key accountabilities:
Technical delivery of all projects - including management of benefit realisation to ensure each project remains on budget and on target, and delivers its cost benefit analysis. This will involve the production of regular updates and information to the associated steering committee(s) board(s) and other stakeholders locally It will also necessitate the ability to intervene appropriately to resolve blockages or problems, additionally the role is responsible for:

  • Coordinating Re 2017 Programme plan.
  • Coordination of live projects across Planning and Building Control, Reg Services, Highways and Strategic Planning.
  • Overseeing the development of all associated products, delivery plans.
  • Overseeing the BAU support activity across all services. .
  • Overseeing the commitment status reporting and sign off with the client.
  • Generation of communications strategy across the services and to the client.
  • Developing and maintaining good stakeholder relationships with Service Directors and the client.
  • Coordinating relationship with the accountable bodies for its ICT programmes
  • Coordinating the development of future projects. This will include assessing demand for projects and identifying funding sources.
  • Maintaining the Transformation Teams cost tracker and liaison with Re Finance.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of the core functionality of leading public sector Asset Management and Regulatory IT platforms such as EXOR and Uniform

    Core competencies:
  • Has significant experience of managing large projects and programmes involving public and private sector sources.
  • Understands different types of finance and funding streams from central and local Government.
  • Understands and can demonstrate LBBs key priorities and how the projects support these priorities.
  • Has experience of coordinating teams of staff across a range of different projects.
  • Has experience of working with a wide range of partners from the public and private sectors at a senior level.

Person specification: The individual:

  • High degree of technically proficiency across all Re ICT systems and applications.
  • Should be experienced in the management of complex projects and programmes with significant budgets and a range of partners.
  • Has experience of different funding streams and the associated rules and regulations within the public sector and the private sector.
  • Can demonstrate an ability to coordinate a number of different projects simultaneously
  • Is flexible and adaptable under pressure.
  • Is able to work with a diverse range of partners and comfortable working with senior executives.
  • Is politic and diplomatic in their relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Proven track record enhancing service delivery such as mobile working, automated web forms, complex data migrations and interfacing disparate systems.
