Capita IT Resourcing is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to join our public sector client based in North London. This is a customer-facing role on a large transformation programme working very closely with senior stakeholders both internal and external. The successful candidate will be responsible for a "fit out" of all IT systems for a new office building as well as supporting satellite offices. You will also deliver key project documentation including plans, RAID elements, cost and resource model and profiles to allow for effective management and delivery of projects.

Responsibilities include:

- Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
- Prepare proposals or work packages
- Carry out impact assessments and deliver rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates to customer.
- Produce Business Case Costings
- Produce and maintain Cost Trackers
- Produce and maintain RAID
- Produce and maintain Project Plan
- Adhere to and gain relevant approval from internal stakeholders in line with defined governance framework
- Adhere to and gain relevant approval from external stakeholder in line with defined customer governance framework
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Delivery of build, test and user acceptance activities including development of relevant delivery and implementation documentation
- Report and escalate to management (as appropriate)
- Project and or Programme reporting both internal and external (client)
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Change management experience - positive & proactive to support the delivery of business solutions & proactive approach to benefit realization
- Capable influencer and project team member, adaptable to fast moving project environments
- Working to and within a Change Control environment ensuring proposed solutions are delivered to agreed specification

Essential skills:

- PRINCE2 delivery methodology
- O365 and Cloud based technologies
- Experience of working within a PMO governance framework.
- Advanced knowledge of:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS Project
  • MS Outlook
  • MS Visio
  • MS PowerPoint

Desirable skills:

- Good knowledge of local government
- Experience of managing business application incidents & problems through ITIL or equivalent
- Use of service desk tools for incident, problem management & change control
