Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a dynamic & motivated individual to join the AMT-Sybex presales team. You'll bring experience in Enterprise Asset Management and in return we offer the opportunity to expand your knowledge to other market leading AMT-Sybex solutions for Energy & Infrastructure companies.

As a Presales Consultant you'll be using your knowledge and experience to guide the future direction of AMT-Sybex's ABB Ellipse prospects and customers.

The Presales Consultant leads the positioning of the EAM Ellipse technology platform, uncovering the strategic objectives and business opportunities with the client stakeholders.

Each day is different, you'll be supporting industry events and seminars, presenting to customers and partners, creating innovative and compelling demonstrations and leading prototyping and Proof of Concept projects.

As a key member of the account team the ability to engage successfully with clients is crucial as is the ability to work in partnership with sales, marketing and product management teams and externally with partner organisations.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • A minimum of 5 years hands on experience with the ABB Ellipse software platform or another EAM solution
  • Subject Matter Expert in Enterprise Asset Management including the future direction of the technology and market landscape
  • Proficient at leading EAM engagements that reinforce value at various audience levels, including executives and business users
  • Proficient at creating EAM proposals, discussions and meetings for industries such as Utilities and Transportation
  • Ability to align solutions to a client's strategic objectives and business value
  • Ability to effectively resolve product functionality questions
  • Willing to become a trusted advisor to clients around asset maintenance strategies, asset management, and the associated purchasing, inventory, and high level business processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good team player motivated by creating successful outcomes
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Adherence to the highest personal, professional, ethical and safety standards.

Any of the following would be an advantage

  • Experience in conducting presales activities, including requirement scoping and estimation
  • Experience of complex solution engagement at an enterprise level into large organisations
  • Experience at supporting sales to qualify business opportunities and assess business requirements, translating business requirements into optimal solutions
  • Experience of evaluating Request for Proposals (RFP), formulation of responses and drafting competitive bids
  • Understand and translate clients' business challenges and concerns into solution-oriented discussions
  • Ability to articulate Ellipse integration capabilities with complementary products and solutions such as Workforce Management solutions
  • Experience translating AMT's portfolio of products and solutions into customer value propositions.
