Pre-Sales Technical Consultant - Farnborough

Our client who are a forward-looking organisation with a strong heritage providing successful software systems to the aviation industry, is seeking a Pre sales Technical Consultant to join a growing team. You will be joining at an exciting time for the business as several new SaaS, iOS and Android products will be launching globally; offering the right candidate an excellent opportunity to grow within the business, and work with the latest technologies and engineering processes, within a product focussed business.

Role Overview
The Presales Technical Consultant's role is to help drive prospects through the sales process to contract signing and onboarding. This will involve effective communication and setup to move a prospect from qualified lead through to a live customer.
You will work closely with inside sales and BDM's within the organisation as well as the engineering and support teams to ensure the customer's journey from initial interest to successful live operation runs smoothly.
The role is part of the customer success team and requires excellent soft skills for engaging with and training clients, as well as proven technical skills in areas such as data migration, report writing and software installation/deployment.

Responsibilities

The Presales Technical Consultant is responsible for:
Maintaining and exceeding sales targets alongside other members of the sales and customer success teams.
Communicating with clients through every stage of onboarding offering regular updates against the migration plan.
Analysing data from various sources and identifying the best way to migrate data from existing systems to our platform.
Perform data migration tasks and work closely with other members of the team to ensure data migration accuracy.
Train end users when required in the operations and functionality of our software packages.
Ensure software deployments are initiated and live environments are configured correctly based on the customer's preferences against the options available in the software packages.
Write and tailor existing reports within our software packages so they are customised to the customer's requirements.

The Presales Technical Consultant's success criteria include:

Evidence of customer referrals due to the smooth transition to our software platform.
Evidence of contract wins against forecast within the sales pipeline.

Technical skills
Maintaining databases with SQL Scripts (preferably within the Microsoft stack, SQL Server/Azure).
Creating custom reports and dashboards (Microsoft SSRS/Power BI).
Experience with maintaining software deployed to the cloud using Microsoft Azure/AWS.
