My client is looking for Senior Network Coders to join as part of our development team to implement and support the networking layers for games in production, taking projects from inception to completion and working with the project lead and mentor to ensure games are produced to the highest quality possible. Knowledge of networking protocols and implementation of networked game play is essential. Successful candidates must be able to clearly and accurately communicate progress to managers and producers.
- Good working knowledge of C++ and other languages.
- Experience of UDP/TCP protocols.
- Able to communicate clearly especially when relating to technical issues.
- Experience working in the games industry.
- Provide a level of excellence in technical architecture and execution.
- First class planning skills, looking ahead and taking risk out of projects.
- Prototyping and implementing new ideas / tech.
- Broad understanding of networking systems including DNS, NAT, firewalls, security methods
- Knowledge / experience of Photon.
- Experience with online game service API's such as Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, GameCentre
- First class communication skills.
