Job Title - Lead Automation QA

Location - Liverpool

Salary -£45,000pa


The role of the Q.A. Automation (Lead) is to help the software development team achieve quality and performance goals. The ideal candidate will be an active software testing professional applications.

This role requires an inquisitive, proactive mind and a genuine interest in technology.

The Q.A. Automation (Lead), is responsible for evaluating and reporting on the quality of software products. This includes the planning and estimating of overall test strategy, submitting bugs, developing test plans, designing and running tests, progress reporting and reporting on product quality. The role also involves working closely with the Development Team to make sure everything is executed as effectively and efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, estimate, and review test strategy on a project basis meeting deadlines where required
  • Implementing change control records and monitoring
  • Review requirements and designs
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test cases
  • Create and maintain documentation for QA procedures
  • Report on test lifecycle progress
  • Champion process improvement
  • Develop comprehensive test plans that explain the test strategy for a project
  • Log bug reports with attention to detail
  • Alert team to emerging issues and concerns
  • Support junior testers by reviewing work and providing feedback
  • Work with the Head of QA to improve QA processes
  • Produce progress reports for Project Managers with Project Status from QA perspective in a timely and efficient manner.



Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in software QA Automation
  • 2+ years experience testing sports betting online applications preferable
  • Development and SQL Server experience
  • 2+ years experience with Testing frameworks e.g. Selenium/Ranorex
  • Ability to work within, teach, and improve multiple software development lifecycle processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Engineering, Science or related subject
  • Experience of Continuous Integration desirable
  • Understanding of Software Configuration Management desirable
  • Experience of Testing on Linux/Windows, C++, Java, PHP, VB.NET desirable
