IT Junior Infrastructure Engineer

Capita are currently supporting a leading healthcare business in the search to find a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer, the business has doubled in size over the last two years and this is the ideal role for someone in a similar role looking to join a business that offers progression or a 2nd or 3rd line support professional looking to take that next step.
So what do we need from you?
  • SCCM experience
  • Experience in using Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory
  • Exposure to some form of networking
  • Knowledge of some scripting is desired but not essential
  • This role is based at our Altrincham offices however very occasional travel to other UK sites is needed in case of a major incident and for this reason a full UK driving licence is required.
  • Excellent customer service and the ability to build rapport
Duties:
  • Management and maintenance of backups
  • Maintaining the entire business server and networking estate at all times is essential
  • Resolution and responding to 3rd line support and service issues
  • Patch management of operating systems
  • Monitoring of network, server and storage systems
  • Maintenance of anti-virus systems
  • Replacement of failed hardware
  • Assist with disaster recovery and testing
  • Assist with critical issue call outs - both on shift and on call when necessary
  • Project work
  • Small scope migration projects
  • Assist the wider technical and IT operations team when needed
