The Software Services business creates digital software solutions to help our customers to drive efficiencies whilst providing the best possible service experience for their end users. As part of the Digital Solutions team, the Java Developer will work as part of an agile development team under the guidance of the Product Delivery Manager.

You will be Work alongside other developers, both onshore and offshore, and working alongside business domain experts to deliver both new features and functions to existing products and help our clients to meet the ever-changing needs in their respective markets:

  • interpret complex business requirements and provide estimates to the Product Delivery Manger to enable effective planning
  • Develop solutions to meet the business requirements, to delivery timescales and meeting the necessary quality levels expected
  • Provide assistance to the wider team to investigate support issues to ensure a speedy resolution mitigating the impact on our clients

Contribute through collaboration with your colleagues to ensure the best solutions are implemented to meet the needs of the business

You will need:

  • Strong Java development experience (4 years minimum)
  • Experience in the Spring framework
  • Knowledge of Hibernate framework
  • Be aware of common industry standards and coding best-practices within your disciplines and apply them as required
  • Able to easily pick up and follow required design guidelines for a development project
  • full awareness of software development best practices
  • software security (especially web)
  • Coding to current popular browsers within their limitations
  • Understanding of modern web accessibility standards
