IT Project Manager (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Salary up to £39,000pa basic

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a high-performing and dedicated Project team for an outstanding Higher Education provider - offering the change to work on various IT projects and make a real difference to the establishment and it's students and staff.

The University is an exciting, modern university in one of the most vibrant student cities in the UK. They have a strong, centralised IT department with a remit to deliver forward-thinking and creative solutions in support of teaching, research and the student experience. To help to continue to achieve their objectives, they are now seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to contribute to supporting the delivery of their IT strategy.

Joining the team as an IT Project Manager you will be responsible for supporting a range of projects - spanning both software delivery and infrastructure systems - working with stakeholders to deliver business solutions. You will work closely with ITS teams and multiple functions and services within the university to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, on-budget and to meet the agreed benefits. You will be working as part of a thriving PMO team with excellent opportunity to develop your skills and experience further. Your background will include Project Management experience with exposure to - or an understanding of - IT projects with an ability to work to traditional Waterfall methodologies. A certification in Project Management techniques (such as Prince2, APMP, P3O etc) will be beneficial for this role but not a pre-requisite. A background working in the education sector will be favourable but again, not essential.

This IT Project Manager role will be based in central Leeds and comes with a salary up to £39,000pa basic.

Applications close on Monday 3rd February so apply now with a copy of your most recent CV for consideration. For further information, please call Mark Goode on 07592 119 142.
