Internal Quality Assurer - Midlands

Lead Quality Assurer (IQA) Based from home with travelling involved between company sites

Purpose

The internal quality assurer is to appraise and support teaching, learning and assessment delivery to ensure that it is effective, consistent, current, sufficient, valid and reliable.

They will support delivery team to ensure they are up to date, competent and confident to drive learners to achievement, whilst ensuring SLA and internal strategies are met.

Support will be provided through support visits, both face to face and virtually, thought sampling feedback and observations of practice.

Key activities and responsibilities

  • To be fully conversant with Ofsted Education Inspection Framework 2019 ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
  • Where required, to be fully conversant with Skills Development Scotland Quality Framework (2018) ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
  • To ensure that all standards are met in line with the appropriates regulatory bodies' expectations
  • To maintain Knowledgepool's IQA sampling strategy through a range of activities and ensure relevant documents are up-to-date, accurate and reliable
  • To attend Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations events within your SME remit and support approvals, sampling visits, audits and appeals.
  • To support internal inspection audit activities to review progress against internal and external quality framework
  • To maintain a caseload of skilled and competent Talent Coaches
  • To support Talent Coaches with the delivery of English, Maths, and digital skills and invigilation if applicable
  • To support managers and Talent Coaches to ensure timely completion of programmes and maintain the 'at risk' report and action plan for your allocated vocational area
  • To participate in inductions for new IQAs and support new Talent Coaches providing them with a comprehensive induction
  • To support stakeholders as required with client and learner queries, interviews, new business and performance management
  • To carry out observations of teaching, learning and assessment and promoting outstanding TLA through focused action planning and support

Essential Qualifications / Experience / Skills

  • Either hold D 32/33/34 or A1/ V1 or TAQA 3/4 qualifications, or working towards TAQA 4
  • Either hold or working towards a recognised teaching/training qualification i.e. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Level 3 Education and Training Award or Certificate of Education
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English at a minimum of Level 2
  • A proven track record in internal quality assurance
  • Occupational experience in and current knowledge of the relevant sector(s)
  • Ability to demonstrate thorough working knowledge of apprenticeships - frameworks and standards
  • Up to date Safeguarding and Prevent training record

Be able to travel regionally or nationally as required
