Internal Quality Assurer - Home Based (Travel through the North West)

This is a home based role but you will be travelling through the North West offices which include Newcastle and Manchester.

Internal Quality Assurer Role & responsibilities

  • The IQA will work closely with the Quality Team to provide Knowledgepool with a robust process for the continuous development and monitoring of the e-learning, apprenticeship and pre-employment delivery in line with our innovative ways of working.
  • The IQA will be responsible for ensuring that Talent Coaches (TCs) and Trainers are competent, updated, skilled and reliable to support and meet all objectives and expectations of the business.
  • They will be responsible for quality assuring TCs and Trainers' work through a range of activities, including sampling, observations of Teaching, learning and assessment and EPA Gateway checks.
  • They will be a Subject Matter Expert on at least one subject area of expertise, ensuring the promotion of best practice and the use of up to date and innovative resources. They will monitor practices to ensure standardised and relevant delivery that meets all AOs and EPAOs standards.
  • To be fully conversant with Ofsted Common Inspection Framework 2015, ensuring these standards are fully embedded with all delivery and programme development
  • To ensure that all standards are met in line with the appropriates regulatory bodies' expectations
  • To maintain Knowledgepool's IQA sampling strategy through a range of activities and ensure relevant documents are up-to-date, accurate and reliable
  • To attend Awarding Organisations and End Point Assessment Organisations events within your SME remit and support approvals, sampling visits, audits and appeals.
  • To support internal audit activities to review progress against internal and external quality framework
  • To participate in inductions for new IQAs and support new Talent Coaches and Trainers providing them with a comprehensive induction
  • To carry out observations of teaching, learning and assessment and promoting outstanding TLA through focused action planning and support
  • To coordinate CPD activities and Best Practice Events in line with Knowledgepool Professional Development plan
  • To support the review process to develop, evaluate and monitor course content with the Product development team to ensure smooth delivery of qualification and own actions to resolve issues and improve overall quality
  • To carry out the Talent Coach role and countersign if required
  • To attend TCs and trainers' 1-2-1s with their line managers and support with actions

Internal Quality Assurer Requirements

  • D 32/33/34 or A1/ V1 or TAQA 3/4 qualifications
  • Either hold or working towards a recognised teaching/training qualification i.e. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, Level 3 Education and Training Award or Certificate of Education
