Helpdesk Consultant - Multiple Positions

Based in Oldham

Up to £24,000pa

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Oldham for multiple Helpdesk Consultants to join Capita, a multi-national organisation within one of their exciting businesses in the financial and payments industry.

We are looking for individuals who can display their exemplary communication and customer service skills from an initial phone call. Your verbal and written communication skills are essential and your ability to handle customers in a pleasant, approachable and helpful way will be integral to the position.

You will be able to demonstrate your awareness and understanding of software from your background and previous experience, either from education or employment.

Your knowledge of SQL is key in this position - it will be essential that you understand how to run queries and find information from the databases efficiently to resolve issues quickly.

You will be required to:

  • Provide telephone support and query resolution for external customers
  • Resolve technical issues to customers' satisfaction within the SLA defined in the Capita Software Services service charter
  • Maintain regular updates on existing, open calls and accurately record actions taken in resolving them
  • Ensure regular communication between the helpdesk and customers on the current status of their calls
  • Assist the team of hardware engineers where possible, ensuring regular communication between the engineers and the customer takes place
  • Maintain a polite and friendly attitude at all times
  • To assist in the support of internal customers
  • To ensure a good understanding of Capita Software Services software products
  • To be available to work a range of working hours as dictated by the support rota
