The opportunity

Joining as a Group Marketing Director, you will be leading the overall Group marketing strategy and function to drive brand awareness, deliver high quality campaigns and to maximise sales. The role has a focus on developing marketing planning and insight development, requiring close collaborating across the business to ensure the brand connects with consumers.

About the role

Your role will be a balance of both operational and strategic, where your ability to manage all aspects of the marketing mix across the Group will be imperative to your success in the role, for the team and as a business.

As the Marketing ambassador for the business, your ability to build belief and investment in our brand, both internally and externally, will be key to our overall commitment to delivering quality and ensuring our customers are getting the very best experience possible.

Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the Group's strategic approach to digital marketing, exploring its use and working across multiple channels to ensure maximum reach and return on investment. You will take a leading role in exploring innovative marketing methods, focusing on visibility, campaigns, social media and digital communications.

Future projects could potentially involve an overall development of our website, in line with our core branding values. You will also be leveraging investment in our new CRM system, as a long-term solution within the business.

Strong working relationships with Divisional Sales and Marketing Directors, Chief Executive and business stakeholders will be a vital part of your role as a central source for all internal communication channels. You will also act as a conduit to ensure the Directors work collaboratively and provide mutual support towards their sales, marketing and communication initiatives. Managing a team of 3, you will also be supporting your team's performance and success in their roles.

When managing all PR, Media, and Corporate communications, your industry networks and relationships will be key in your ability to manage issue and crisis based relations, including government, advisory groups and HBF. To remain competitive, you will also liaise with major lenders to keep up-to-date with mortgage products and provide guidance to the business.

Person specification

  • A highly motivated and dynamic individual to inspire and lead Crest Nicholson's Sales and Marketing branding strategy
  • An ability to be an effective and seasoned leader with the ability to present concepts to Senior Executives, articulating your ideas from both a creative and commercial perspective.
  • A proven track record of creating high level lifestyle or consumer-led branding, delivering commercially successful campaigns
  • Significant experience in a Group Marketing or Corporate Sales environment
  • Preferably a Property Development background or lifestyle branding background
  • An intuitive understanding and vision of the Crest Nicholson brand and customer
  • Passionate about the customer experience
  • Ability to recognise and respond to current trends and competitor activity
  • Ability to manage and delegate all facets of multiple projects, schedules and budgets from concept through execution
  • Commercially focused with experience in managing budgets
  • Ability to flex approach or re-prioritise to meet changing business needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, management and presentation skills with an ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Able to think on your feet when pressurised to make decisions quickly
  • Degree-level educated
