Digital Marketing Manager



Role Overview

The main function of this role is to be responsible for the creation and delivery of the company's marketing strategy and its execution and success using the full marketing mix to increase sales, develop the Capita brand while managing a team of talented direct reports.

The Marketing Manager will need to:

  • Create and execute against a marketing strategy and plan
  • Ensure the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives and that evaluation systems are in place to report progress
  • Using digital marketing internally to help build culture
  • Can identify and develop new opportunities for using digital
  • Management and growth of business social media channels


The main responsibilities are detailed below, although the post holder would also be expected to perform any other duties which might reasonably be required by the business.

Marketing Management:

Responsible for planning, development and implementation of a marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

  • Provide the planning and leadership to the Marketing Department by ensuring that the appropriate structures, systems, competencies and values are developed in order to meet and exceed the goals of the Marketing plan.
  • Alongside the Director of Marketing & Alliances manage the marketing expenditure ensuring maximum ROI on all activity. Where possible work with the Alliances team to offset marketing expense.
  • Effectively track and analyse marketing ROI, specifically cost per lead, cost per opportunity etc.
  • Proactive management of Suspect and prospect data to convert them into development accounts
  • Production of 'win-back' campaigns for dormant customers working closely with sales teams


  • Approaches challenges creatively but with the end goal in mind.
  • Manage and drive the team forward to be pro-active in their approach to all parts of the business.
  • Proven and inspirational leader with excellent people-management and team building skills
  • Interpret key performance indicators and possess the ability to forecast accurately.
  • Be numbers-driven, supported by timely measurements of performance.
