Data Architect.

My client is a leading supplier to national infrastructure projects, and they specialise in the delivery of integrated cutting-edge smart infrastructure solutions to meet national needs across the UK. They are on the market looking to recruit an experienced data architect will work closely with the digital transformation team developing the data architecture strategy to support core applications and BI platforms. The main responsibilities for this role will be focused on but not limited to define, design and governance of data architecture, be the subject matter expert, provide governance in relation to data security, compliance and standards, ensure alignment with corporate strategy and road-maps and play a lead role in the development of overall data and BI strategies.

Essential:

  • Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role
  • In-depth understanding of database ETL using Microsoft or similar technologies
  • Experience gathering and analysing system requirements
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and segmentation techniques
  • Commercial experience of working with cloud data technologies in Azure Inc. SQL and Oracle
  • Experience of working with big data platforms
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, D3.js and R)
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Good understanding of integration technologies such as web services, middleware etc
  • Knowledge of TOGAF and ITIL best practice
  • Qualifications in Computer Science or relevant field
