Communications Business Partner - Capita plc (Group CIO) (Full Time/ @ London):

In this role, you will provide communications support Capita's Group CIO Leadership Team and be the key link back into the Corporate Affairs function. The role will involve working right across Capita, reaching our 70,000 employees, as well as building a community of colleagues whose roles are focussed on IT. You'll also work with other communication and engagement professionals across our business to ensure messages are aligned and we're a connected and collaborative organisation.

What you will do:

  • Acting as a partner and adviser to Group CIO to create a holistic, joined up approach to all Internal Communications, driven from Capita's Corporate Affairs strategy to ensure consistency and maximum impact
  • Building influential and trusting relationships; partnering with the Group CIO and their leadership team to identify key functional Internal Communications needs to support the design and delivery of the GCIO strategy and plan
  • Working closely with colleagues in Business Partnering roles to ensure Group CIO communications are made in on time and to the right audiences
  • Working with other Communications Business Partners to standardise and deliver high quality communications consistent to the Corporate Affairs narrative / story
  • Measure the impact of communications and activate response as required to ensure Group CIO and their audience needs are met
  • Lead the co-ordination of engagement surveys and results analysis, to ensure feedback is understood and acted upon as appropriate.
  • Writing engaging communications that resonate with different internal audiences.
  • Communications planning, to ensure that information reaches people in a timely and consistent way.
  • Translating complicated technical language into plain English.
  • Articulating Capita's purpose, values and strategy in a way that resonates with IT colleagues.
  • Developing and delivering communication strategies and plans, using a range of channels.
  • Supporting business leaders with their written communications and presentation skills.
  • Working in a business partnering model, who can work into a function whilst also delivering the objectives of the group Corporate Affairs team

Your experience will include:

  • Experienced in working in Corporate Communications functions
  • Have and be able to apply a thorough understanding and application of Internal Communications best practice
  • Experienced in partnering with senior stakeholders with the ability to coach on communications as required
  • An excellent collaborative working style
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills - able to work and communicate effectively at all levels across the organisation.
  • Broad understanding of enterprise technology
  • Experience working across multiple channels (social media, intranet, events, newsletters, etc.)
  • Creative experience with the ability to plan and develop engaging content for internal and external use, making full use of visual and video tools
  • Prior experience of working in a Communications role
  • Be able to source information and create compelling stories about where we've been and where we're heading
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management skills
  • Excellent Communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable to work under their own autonomy
