BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

A fantastic opportunity has risen for a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / BDM to join a market leading software solutions companies.


As a UK based Business Development Manager you will work within the education industry & offer leading software solutions & services to educational institutions & central educational bodies.

You will be tasked with selling a wide range of solutions into a portfolio of New Sites, Free Schools, Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Local Authorities (LAs) & schools to devise & develop long term strategic relationships.


You will have a proven track record working int the field, a self starter with the strong ability to build & maintain long lasting relationships. You will have experience in presenting to new & existing customers & be passionate about what you are selling.


The main responsibility of this role is to directly sell the solution into educational institutions. You will work closely with the marketing the team to develop the local sales strategy, forward think to maximise fully the sales proposition & deliver on targets.


You will be confident in face to face meetings, presentations, bid & tender response management and online and digital interaction.

You will:

  • Develop a portfolio of UK Education customers, build key multi-level relationships across New single sites & central UK Education functions;
  • Lead bids with a professional, creative & customer focused approach to ensure this companies services are selected as supplier of choice;
  • Build a credible pipeline that is 3-4x sales target;
  • Deliver monthly/quarterly/annual sales target;
  • Develop a territory plan that demonstrates a clear strategy on how the sales target will be achieved;
  • Achieve KPI's;
  • Generate leads;

You will have:

  • A proven successful external sales experience;
  • A solid understanding of Education and the UK EDUCATION market;
  • A proven sales territory planning skills;
  • A proven track record of generating leads;
  • A proven track record of over exceeding targets;
