Capita are recruiting for a market leader in the provision of software solutions, who are looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst with experience with Delphi.


As part of the Service Support Team, The Senior Application Support Specialist is responsible for providing high quality operational, technical application and systems support to all customers across multiple support streams.

The role is responsible for minor implementations, deployments and upgrades, supporting pre-production environments whilst providing 3rd line support by diagnosing and providing solutions for client issues.

Key Skills?

This is a technical role and you will be supporting their sameday courier software (training will be provided) on both their customer's Microsoft server infrastructure and on their own Azure infrastructure.

Key Requirements for Service Support:

  • Provide Level 3 support and guidance to the Service Desk
  • MUST HAVE (Delphi and SQL) Experience
  • Help maintain a high standard of code quality in consultation with the Development Team
  • Ensure SLAs are adhered to
  • Implement bespoke software on client infrastructure
  • Support Cloud internal software

Key Requirements for Test and Release:

  • Support the Development Team with QA and pre production environments
  • Responsible for bespoke Software Change Request's deployments in Customer Environment
  • Implementation support, setting up new servers, installation of Windows, IIS & MS SQL Server
  • Develop a documented repeatable process for upgrades
  • Assist with the automation strategy of the Development Team
  • Develop and maintain documentation into the Knowledge Database

Key Requirements for Project Support:

  • Represent Service Support in the Design and Build phase of new projects
  • Integrate with Service Delivery to ensure adequate ELS is provided
  • Ensure a supportable service model is developed for all new services
  • Gain a good understanding of cloud concepts such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
  • Develop and maintain documentation into the Knowledge Database
