What will this role achieve?

  • To be responsible for all aspects of the application driving customer registration and active usage through all business touch points and utilising IoT analytics data
  • To develop and commercialise the service from an application point of view
  • To directly own the technical relations with R&D, HQ, SmartThings and with third party device manufacturers to provide the best customer experience possible
  • To develop, promote and implement technical differentiation within our application by developing solutions both internally and externally promoting the MDE strategy
  • To find opportunities across all business units to promote the application and drive awareness of the service

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Be the UK application expert for SmartThings cross category.
  • Ensure that the SmartThings application is up to date and the functionality of the application is in line with the capabilities of company devices
  • Train the Product Portfolio Team on any changes to features, processes, SW structure or anything else they need to know for them to communicate SmartThings to our channel partners
  • Use this knowledge to problem solve any issues or problems associated with content & services.
  • Know our cross-category services relating to the app deeply, how they should work, interact and the customer experience
  • Lead the overall SmartThings compatibility list along with the other members of the IOT team

What do we need for this role?

  • Knowledge of IoT technical platforms / products
  • A background of mobile operating systems
  • Knowledge of mobile hardware technologies such as processor's, screens, memory, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
  • BEng or equivalent in Mobile Technology, Electronic Engineering…
  • A minimum of 5 years or experience within the consumer electronics or mobile network industry
  • 10-15 years' experience with app development
