Account Director IT Infrastructure - Home Working - £80k + Car and Benefits

Our Client who are a leading technology provider with strong, global technology partnerships that guarantee best value for their customers have an exciting position of Account Director available.
The Account Director is responsible for all aspects of a specific client account or accounts and will report through to the Chief Operating Office.
You will be highly focused on delivering service excellence and securing exceptional levels of client satisfaction in all aspects of IT Infrastructure services and a driving force in creating innovative new ways to on-sell and increase profitability and margin.

  1. Responsible for the success of the account(s) both from a customer satisfaction and growth perspective
  2. Develop and maintain the strategy for the client(s) with a clear focus on growing the account
  3. Become a trusted advisor/partner to the client(s)
  4. Establish, maintain and deliver the strategic account plan for the client(s)
  5. Business Relationship Management to build relationships and develop a clear understanding of the client business
  6. Establish a Continuous Service Improvement Plan (CSIP) for the account improving customer outcomes and reducing costs to support improvement in margin in line with the business strategy
  7. Creation of client specific propositions (Statements of Work) that provide innovative service solutions, leverage Trustmarque capability, based on sound commercial and financial judgement.
  8. Working with Programme and Project Leads to ensure appropriate capability and capacity to successfully deliver change
  9. Lead the development of proactive and innovative strategic solutions for the client(s)
  10. Deliver additional revenue in line with account plans
  11. Ensure effective performance management of all staff on the account(s). Where underperformance is observed, effective actions are taken to ensure that line managers are given prompt, objective feedback to help address them.
  12. Day to day commercial management of the account(s), ensuring Salesforce opportunities, SoW's, PCN's and CCNs are processed in a timely and appropriate manner and managed within the scope of the contract
  13. Maintain C5 forecast of all resources required to support the account(s)
  14. Maintain an accurate financial forecast for the growth on the account(s) ensuring all risks are flagged at the earliest possible opportunity and mitigating action taken where required
  15. Foster a culture of customer service and satisfaction, continuous improvement and with clear results orientation aimed at ensuring objectives are achieved and/or exceeded.
  16. Provide leadership and promote a positive culture to enable teams to demonstrate positive, value add behaviours
  17. Take an active role in the management team.


  • In depth knowledge and experience of

  • Building relationships at an executive level with the aim to become a trusted advisor.

  • Management and growth of accounts in excess of £5m annual revenue
    Delivering business growth from clients

  • Streamlining delivery to achieve optimum margin with a demonstrable track record of ongoing continuous operational and margin improvement

  • Service operations under ITIL delivery regimes.

  • Performance measurement in ICT service delivery environments

  • Stakeholder management within the client organisation

  • People leadership and management

  • Services based on mainstream technology deployment

  • Innovation and digital transformation

  • Taking responsibility of driving/managing conflict and issues to remove barriers
    Management of P&L.

  • Working within matrix managed organisations.
