Role: 2nd Line Support
Location: Leicester

Purpose of Role
Working within my client's in-house IT team, you will support the companies UK and International business operations by providing effective 2nd line software support to internal users and managing escalations coming from the 1st line Helpdesk personnel.
Role Responsibilities
The role will be responsible for;

  • To offer IT support to internal customers, responding to queries raised by internal customers by telephone and email
  • 2nd line software support ERP liaison between our customers and our ERP solution providers
  • To provide 2nd line software support for warehouse customers on the WMS (Manhattan)
  • To escalate any cases to the development team when needed
  • When required, to help testing on new releases of ERP or other systems within the business
  • Be involved in writing test plans, and implementing these with the team
  • Adding test scripts to the test rail system when required
  • Share knowledge on the companies knowledge base
  • To set and maintain main business system scheduled tasks
  • To update and maintain system data, including imports and extracts of data
  • To provide out of standard hours support on a rota basis

Role Requirements
Experience and Knowledge:

  • Experience of database programs (i.e. postgres)
  • IT support experience gained within a business systems or stock / order processing ERP solutions
  • Experience of Warehouse Management System
  • Good customer service is essential
  • Previous experience of being involved in testing.
  • A good knowledge of SQL
