1st/2nd Line Support - HR Systems

Due to an exciting period of growth, an Edinburgh based organisation are currently looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to work as part of a large HR MI & Systems team. This role will interact directly with their client, a global blue-chip financial services company.

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and configuring a wide range of HR Systems. You will also be responsible for researching, tracking and resolving escalated issues.

The day-to-day duties will include:

  • Dealing with advanced system related issues, triaged by helpdesk administrators.
  • Configuration of HR systems and system reporting.
  • Being the point of contact for tier 2 related system issues, responding in a timely & accurate manner and in accordance with the process & procedural documentation provided.
  • Operating as an effective team member, both within Capita and in partnership with the Clients own help-desk operation, assisting others and providing training where required
  • Maintaining an effective and robust systems FAQ self-service site to reduce the number of system related queries.
  • Ensuring that all activities of the role continue to be accurately documented in administration guides, flowcharts & checklists
  • Supporting the delivery of the HR Helpdesk service, assisting with other key tasks as identified by the line manager.

What you need to perform in the role:

  • Highly analytical with a proven track record of troubleshooting advanced system related issues.
  • Poised and self-confident, able to communicate with senior stakeholders and liaise with necessary vendors where appropriate.
  • Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of HTML.
  • Ability to query data from multiple locations.
  • Experience in data feeds, data reconciliation and data verification.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical requirements and solutions to both technical and nontechnical users.
  • Experience in analysis, design, testing and release management.

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Exposure to Workday is highly desirable
  • Intermediate to advance VBA skills.
  • Experience of Business Objects or similar business intelligence tools
  • Previous experience completing HR Administrative tasks
  • Previous exposure in a HR Service Centre environment
