1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst - Up to £30k


A fantastic opportunity has risen for a 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst to join a growing team working on a well-known system. Your approach to problem solving coupled with flexibility will stand you in good stead within this project. You will work with individuals from all levels & you will have knowledge of software support & exquisite data analysis skills.
As a 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst you will report into the Team Leader with your main responsibilities supporting all applications and any technical streams within the company

Within this 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst role:

  • You will deal with any incidents / requests assigned to the team by the helpdesk;
  • You will analyse systems & data to fully understand the issue to find a resolution;
  • You will make sure that all documentation is kept up to date & team members are fully aware of progress;
  • You will strive to achieve tough KPI's & resolve issues within KPI's;
  • You will ensure that all processes are followed;
  • You will partake in the on-call rota;
  • You will be required to work out of hours should any issues need resolving.


To be considered for the 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst you will have:

  • A good knowledge of working within an ITIL environment;
  • Vast experience of troubleshooting technical/application issues;
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills;
  • Have to be very flexible and open to change;
  • The ability to work with people from all levels within the organisation;


Essential skills for the 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst role:

  • SQL Server and/or Oracle databases
  • Windows Server
  • PowerShell


Desirable skills for the 1st / 2nd Line Application Support Analyst role:

  • BizTalk
  • HDS
  • TSQL
  • XML
  • XSLT
  • SOAP
  • Excel
  • SFTP
  • Linux/Unix
